Laser Carbon Facial

Illustration

It is a non-invasive procedure and is sometimes called the charcoal facial or charcoal peel. The benefits of the treatment are said to include:
*Reduces fine lines and wrinkles *Tightens dilated pores *Reduces acne, scars and post acne discoloration*Removes dead skin cells from the superficial epidermal layer *Stimulates collagen growth *Improves skin texture*Clears pores to help reduce blackheads and whiteheads *The Treatment
Charcoal Laser™ cream is being applied to the face. The AW3® ND Yag Q Switch Laser shoot at the area causing no pain to the client. A 1320nm wavelength is being used in this treatment.
Skin rejuvenation is the treatment of sun damaged skin. Skin rejuvenation is used to boost the complexion, even out the skin tone, tighten pores, smooth out the skin texture and give a collagen boost within the skin. Skin rejuvenation is an excellent treatment to reverse the signs of aging.
The Science
The heat from the AW3® light is attracted to the melanin/oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. The heat reaction breaks down the melanin and coagulates the blood within the area. This then leaves the body through the lympathic system leaving the skin with a clearer complexion. The heat that is also created within the epidermis and dermis, making the skin react as if it has had an injury. The blood and collagen rush into this area to repair it leaving the skin with a smoother appearance.

  • How does it work?

ND Yag Wrinkle therapy is a treatment of the skin to give the maximum collagen boost to push out even the deepest lying wrinkles. This treatment is to be performed using the AW3® ND Yag machines only, together with Charcoal Laser™ Paste to achieve maximum collagen boosting results.

  • Does it hurt?

The sensation will vary from client to client. The sensation that is felt depends upon the amount of melanin found in the skin. The sensation is described as a heat sensation and a few clients say it is light mild sunburn after the treatment.

  • What to expect?

Skin rejuvenation and wrinkle treatments will show mild redness of the skin initially after the treatment. This is a good sign the treatment has worked and sufficient heat has been pushed into the epidermis. Pigmentation treatments will initially turn darker after the treatment and then a crusting may appear on the skin which must shed off naturally up to 10 days after the treatment. The skin will then appear more even in colour and the pigmented lesions would be lighter in colour.

  • How many sessions are needed?

On average 2-4 treatments at 5-6 week intervals are needed for the best results. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.

  • Which celebrities use them?

A-listers Kim Kardashian, who is also a fan of the vampire facial, is said to get a carbon laser facial.

And Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, both exes of Brad Pitt, are reported to have them done.

  • Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal, another pinnacle of innovation represented by AW3 Laser, operates on a similar principle of selective photothermolysis, albeit with a more focused and concentrated approach. Advanced laser systems emit coherent light of a specific wavelength, ensuring that the energy is absorbed predominantly by the melanin pigment within hair follicles. The resulting heat impedes the follicle’s ability to produce new hair, thereby facilitating long-term hair reduction.

One of the distinctive attributes of Laser Hair Removal by AW3 is the availability of various laser types, each optimised for different skin tones and hair colours. This versatility stems from meticulous research and refinement, underscoring the technology’s commitment to inclusivity. Moreover, the precision and efficacy of AW3 Laser devices allow for meticulous targeting, minimising collateral damage to surrounding tissue.

  • Intense Pulsed Light (IPL, SHR)

Enter IPL - SHR Hair Removal, a technological marvel offered by AW3, operating on the principle of selective photothermolysis. This concept involves the controlled delivery of intense pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigmented areas of hair follicles. The absorbed light energy converts into heat, which effectively targets and damages the follicle’s ability to regrow hair. The sophisticated design of AW3 Laser & IPL devices allows for customisation of parameters such as pulse duration and wavelength, enabling optimal precision tailored to various skin tones and hair colours.

With IPL - SHR Hair Removal by AW3, the experience is gentler compared to traditional methods, as the technology’s broad spectrum of light encompasses a wider treatment area with each pulse. This attribute translates to quicker sessions, making the procedure a seamless addition to busy lifestyles. The gradual reduction in hair growth over a series of sessions is attributed to the follicles’ diminishing capacity to generate new hair, promising a smoother and more enduring outcome.

  • Pain free hair removal

Most conventional IPL laser hair removal technologies utilize massive amounts of heat to destroy hair follicles and ensure permanent reduction. On the other hand, SHR IPL Lasers fire multiple shots but at lower Joules. This new method gently heats the hair follicles
producing a warm tingling sensation—some clients compare it to a warm massage. In-Motion™ technology is utilised by moving the hand piece over the treated skin which contributes to the overall comfort felt by our customers during their hair reduction treatments.

  • All skin and hair types laser technology

The unique AW3 laser technology and techniques used in SHR IPL makes all hair and skin types suitable for this treatment. SHR IPL is also an attractive hair removal solution for those who don’t want to shy away from the sun, meaning hair reduction treatments can be had all year round. By utilising low heat, SHR IPL decreases the amount of heat absorbed by the skin so treatment can be done on tanned skin.

  • For the best laser hair removal results

Depending on the area that requires SHR, we recommend that our clients have 6 – 12 treatments at four week intervals. Hair reduction treatments at four weekly intervals will ensure that we are able to target the hair at the right time during the natural re-growth cycle. Towards the end of the process, the interval between hair reduction treatments may be extended to 6-8 weeks as the re-growth cycles slow.

  • How can I be sure the system is safe and effective?

Clinical trials documenting AW3 for safety and effectiveness are carried out by leading doctors prior to the release of the product. The results of these tests are then published in respected medical journals. The settings used for your treatment will be based on the settings recommended by the clinicians who carried out the clinical trials.

  • Is it safe?

IPL SHR Laser hair removal is the most popular aesthetic procedures performed around the world. SHR IPL Laser treatments have provided safe and effective permanent hair reduction for millions of people worldwide. Because SHR Lasers utilizes IN-MOTION™ and low-heat settings we are able to provide a level of safety unlike any other laser hair removal procedure.

When combining medically graded and FDA approved technologies with qualified skin specialist, laser hair reduction is very safe. Our experienced technicians are internationally trained and all have laser safety certification. We provide an extensive consultation process to assess suitability, reduce any risk and to provide the best possible outcome. Our machines are both FDA and CE approved and our manufacturer has been used by medical professionals around the world for many years.

  • How does it feel?

The SHR machine filters out unnecessary wavelengths which are not needed which makes the treatment very comfortable and almost painless. Most people say it just feels like a warm massage.

  • Will my hair ever grow back?

Actively growing hair that’s been treated with IPL - SHR should not grow back. Once a hair follicle is damaged, it cannot grow hair. However, hair follicles that were not in the active growth phas, will need to be treated. It’s also not unusual for some patients to have a touch-up two – three years after initial treatment due to hormonal changes.

  • What areas can be treated?

IPL - SHR is safe for all skin types and all hair types can be treated, including some blonde, grey and finer hairs. It can even be used on tanned skin. We recommend however that you are not actively tanning at the time of your treatment. Blonder, lighter and grey hairs are more difficult to treat and may need more treatments but we can test an area prior if needed to ensure our treatment is suitable.

  • Do I need to arrange time off from work for treatments?

SHR IPL Laser treatments have no “down time” and requires no recovery time. You can have a treatment and return to work and other normal activities immediately.

  • How many treatments do I need?

Most people vary in the number of treatments required, this does depend on where their hair cycles are when we first start but usually most people need 6 to 12 treatments. Some clients have had 70% loss after just 5 sessions.

  • Why do I need 6+ treatments?

Hair growth occurs in 4 stages: Early Anagen (early hair growth), Anagen (active hair growth), Catagen (regression) and Telogen (resting, not growing). Laser hair removal only affects the Anagen stage (actively growing hair). Therefore, approximately twenty-five-percent of hair is removed with each treatment. A few treatments are therefore required for the treatment area to be hair free. For best results, on average we recommend 6 to 12 treatments. This will allow hairs to be disabled effectively during the active growth phase.

  • How long does it take to see results?

It usually takes ten days to two weeks before the hair is actually shed, sometimes this cannot be visually seen like older lasers that burn the hair off, this is a gradual reduction done is the safest and more clinically proved way. Until that time it may appear as if it is still growing as the hair is pushed to the surface and eventually falls out. Often the hair can fall out in the shower or when you are exfoliating or shaving your skin.

  • Why do I need a consultation?

We require all clients to have an extensive consultation for :
    ● Recording all medical history and conditions● Assess if the treatment is appropriate for you● Explain the laser process● Advise pre and post treatment care instructions● Perform a test patch (This will allow you to feel the laser on your skin and we can see how you respond )● Advise the cost of treatment if needed.

  • What should I do during treatments?

Avoid the following activities on the day of your treatment and until the redness has disappeared:● Use of strong exfoliant creams.● Swimming pools and spas.● Activities that cause excessive perspiration like the gym.● Sun exposure for the first 5 days.● Deodorants for 24hrs prior and after each treatment to the underarms.

Laser Acne Clearance

Acne Clearance

Most of us experience acne to some extent during our lives. For many people it is a short-term annoyance, but others develop more long-term and more severe acne.Acne occurs when one of the skin´s natural oils – sebum – is unable to leave the skin because the hair follicle is blocked. This may result in a blackhead, or a whitehead, and can lead to the growth of bacteria below the surface of the skin.
Inflammation can occur, and the rupture of an inflamed area can lead to scarring.Medication can help to reduce acne, but the AW3® procedure in combination with prescription medication has been clinically proven to accelerate the healing process for acne.
* Very effective for acne
* Millions of people worldwide has been treated successfully using the AW3® system
* Scientifically proven to achieve optimal results
* Non surgical safe procedure

  • How does the AW3 system work for Acne?

The AW3® treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by the body’s own natural chemical – haemoglobin – in the blood vessels that feed the sebaceous glands. The AW3® treatment works by reducing the blood supply to the sebaceous gland, which slows down production of the body oil sebum.
The haemoglobin converts the light energy into heat, which damages the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the glands. This technique has the name “Selective Photothermolysis”.
The visible light produced by the AW3® systems is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and right amount of energy to reduce the acne without damaging the surrounding tissue.

  • How long does the treatment take?

The glass prism within the AW3® applicator that guides the light to the skin targets the area in a flash of light. It takes approximately 5-10mins to treat the full face. Including consultation and preparation, it should take no longer than 15 mins. A typical course is between 4-6 sessions with three weeks apart.

  • Who can be treated?

Anyone with acne who wants clearer looking skin! If you have permanent acne you will benefit from this treatment. The best results are achieved on inflammatory acne – best known as those red, aching, raised pimples.

  • Does it hurt?

Although the AW3® technology produces less pain than most systems on the market, tolerance to pain varies from individual. No anesthetics are required, and many patients describe the discomfort as a warming sensation similar to the feeling after a day on the beach.

  • How can I be sure that AW3 are save and effective?

AW3® systems has been used worldwide by leading doctors and specialists for many years. AW3® has a loud voice in the laser industry and is one of the leading innovators of laser machines since the 90s when it was first commercialise. The settings used for your treatment will be based on the settings recommended by the clinicians who carried out the clinical trials.

  • What can I expect?

You may notice some general redness on the face following the treatment. If you have sun-damaged skin, some of the pigmented spots may turn darker
and eventually disappear. The bacteria are difficult to eradicate completely, your doctor will probably recommend that you continue using adapalene cream for a few months after the AW3® acne treatment course. Should you suffer from a future acne outbreak, the treatment can be repeated as a top up. Although results vary from person to person, but the AW3® system achieves a superior results compared to any others of it’s range.

Laser Thread Vein

Illustration
  • Which thread veins can be treated?

Thread veins on all parts of your body can be treated. The most common treatments are for superficial veins in the facial, chest or leg areas.
As the treatment relies on absorption of light by the haemoglobin in the blood, the most effective results are seen with light skin. The lighter the skin, the more pronounced the contrast between the vessel and the skin, making treatment easier. However, AW3® systems have pre-programmed settings for different skin colours that deliver the correct energy output for your complexion.

  • How long does the treatment take?

The glass prism within the AW3 applicator that guides the light to the skin is 15mm by 50mm, so a large area can be targeted in one flash of light. Our system has the largest spot size on the market and is the only system to have auto flashes without delay. This mean doing a facial thread vein will only take 5 minutes.

  • Does it hurt?

Skin type is a fundamental effecting factor in this treatment as due to the high level of pigment in the skin. Tolerance of pain is very individual from person to person and machine to machine. We have a variety of machines including no pain machines and the sensation of each are completely different.
No anaesthetics are required, and most people describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin. You may find it comforting to cool the skin after the treatment.

  • Do I need to take special precautions before and after treatments?

The light used is a completely safe, visible light. Potentially harmful wavelengths are removed by our unique filtering system. Since tanning takes place by accumulation of pigment (melanin) in the skin, it is, however, important to avoid tanning (sun, solarium or self-tanning cream) before and during the treatment period. Otherwise your tanned skin will absorb more light, which makes treatment less effective.
Generally, no post-treatment care is needed. But people with sensitive skin may benefit from using a soothing cream for a few days after treatment. We recommend you limit sun exposure and use a sunscreen (SPF 60) for a few weeks following treatment. After treatment of thread veins on the legs, compression (surgical) stockings should be worn for two weeks.
If larger veins on the leg have already been treated (surgery or sclerotherapy), the treatment should be delayed for at least one month to allow the healing process to be complete first.

  • How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments depends on the body site and the severity of the thread vein. Clinical studies have confirmed that 2-6 treatments usually are needed, and these are timed about one month apart.

  • How can I be sure that AW3 system is safe and effective?

Clinical trials documenting AW3 safety and effectiveness are carried out by leading doctors prior to the release of the product. The results of these tests are then published in respected, refereed medical journals. The settings used for your treatment will be based on the settings recommended by the clinicians who carried out the clinical trials.

THREAD VEIN
You don’t have to try to cover your thread veins anymore. The AW3® systems uses short, safe bursts of light emitted from a flash-lamp to quickly remove those thin veins (technically called telangiectasias) from your face or legs.
* Very Effective* Quick and simple* Thousands of people has been treated successfully with the AW3® system
THE SCIENCE
A thread vein is a small blood vessel near the surface of the skin. The operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to the blood vessels needing treatment. The unique AW3® system carefully filters this light in two ways to ensure that only light with the correct characteristics (wavelengths) is allowed to reach your skin.Blood contains haemoglobin that absorbs the light and converts it into heat. This heat destroys the protein in the wall of the thread vein. As a result the veins will gradually, and safely, disappear after treatment. To ensure optimal light transmission to the blood vessel, a thin layer of gel (similar to that used in ultrasound examinations) is applied to your skin before treatment.

Laser Pigmentation Reduction

Illustration
  • It’s suitable for all skin tones?

The skin rejuvenation is based on light absorption in melanin and haemoglobin, therefore treatments are more effective on light skin that is not sun tanned at the time of treatment. However, AW3® systems have pre-programmed settings for each treatment so all skin tones can ensure they will receive the correct energy output for their complexion.
Age spots contain a substance called melanin, and diffuse redness contains a substance called haemoglobin. When cells containing lots of these substances, they are condensed together, this is where the AW3® light will target the area to rejuvenate it almost immediately.

  • How long does a take?

The glass prism within the AW3® applicator that guides the light to the skin is 15mm by 50mm, so a large area can be targeted in one flash of light. Our system has the largest spot size on the market and is the only system to have auto flashes without delay. This mean doing a facial will only take 5-10 minutes.

Otherwise your tanned skin will absorb more light, which makes treatment less effective. Generally, no post-treatment care is necessary. But people with sensitive skin may benefit from applying an ice pack to the face immediately after treatment or applying an ointment prescribed by the doctor. Furthermore, it is recommended to use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 60) for a few weeks following treatment.

  • What can I expect?

You may notice that the skin looks a little “dirty” for a few days following treatment. After that you will find that your skin looks smoother and fresher. You might choose to have 1 – 2 annual maintenance treatments in order to keep your youthful appearance.

  • How can I be sure that AW3 systems are safe and effective?

Clinical trials documenting AW3 safety and effectiveness are carried out by leading doctors prior to the release of the product. The results of these tests are then published in respected, refereed medical journals. SUN DAMAGED SKIN
While the trauma of ageing skin is nowhere near as great as for vascular or pigmented lesions, the simple fact remains that most people do not like the thought of ageing.Exposure to the sun accelerates the ageing process of the skin, and can cause disruption in the normal blood supply to the skin (which results in vascular disorders such as telangiectasias or diffuse redness) It can also cause irregular pigmentation that shows as freckles (ephelides) or age-spots (solar lentigines), and irregular pore size. AW3® systems offer clinically proven treatment sun-damaged skin, covering both vascular and pigmented aspects.
ALTERNATIVES FOR SUN DAMAGED SKIN
Make-up: This is simple, painless and relatively inexpensive, but it is only a cover-up and requires an everlasting commitment to maintain the appearance desired by the client.Surgery: No effective traditional surgical method for treating all the effects of sun-damaged skin exists. Laser surgery (cosmetic resurfacing of the skin) is available but is expensive and recovery time is comparatively long.
THE SCIENCE
The AW3® treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals – melanin in the pigmented areas and haemoglobin in the red blood. Both these pigments convert the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored, and to damage the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the areas where vascular damage is seen. This technique has the name “Selective Photothermolysis”.The visible light produced by the AW3® systems are carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and right amount of energy to destroy the targets without damaging surrounding tissues. The AW3® Skin Rejuvenation system will treat diffuse redness and pigmented disorders caused by sun-damage and also improve the skin texture. The AW3® Rejuvenation procedure will additionally treat larger (individually visible vessels) telangiectasias. Both Photo Rejuvenation and Skin Rejuvenation are quick and simple procedures that do not interfere with your normal daily routine. Both are aimed at repairing sun-damage found on the face, neck chest and hands.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Illustration

● Remove all colours of tattoos
● Suitable for all skin types
● The most recognised laser
Using the AW3® Nd Yag laser can safely and effectively remove tattoos, permanent make up, and skin pigmentation such as age spots, sunspots and birthmarks. Tattoo ink particles are too large for the body’s immune system to remove naturally because when tattoo pigment is injected into the lower layers of the skin (dermis) it becomes locked away by a wall of collagen fibres. Q-switched lasers produce very short bursts of high energy laser light.
The light is absorbed by the large ink particles, generating heat that shatters the tattoo pigment into minute particles which the body is able to remove. Because the tattoo ink selectively absorbs the laser energy, the surrounding skin doesn’t overheat and there is no lasting damage.

  • What’s is AW3 NdYag Q Switch for:

ND YAG stands for neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet) which is a crystal that is used as a medium for laser treatments. In Q-switched mode, Nd YAG produces 2 wavelengths, one in the infrared range (1064 nm) and a second beam of 532 nm wavelength which is useful for superficial skin lesions. Q switching refers to the technique of making the laser produce a high intensity beam in very short pulses

  • What can we use NdYag Q Switch for:

We use Nd Yag to safely and effectively remove tattoos, permanent make up, and skin pigmentation such as age spots, sunspots and birthmarks

  • What skin types can we treat:

The AW3® ND YAG Q-switch technology can treat all skin types as long as you are in good health and do not have hypo/hyper- pigmentation, tanned or Keloid scarring in your family or personal history.

  • What colour tattoos can we remove:

In principle the laser can remove all kind of tattoos. Since all tattoos are not the same in terms of colour, depth of ink deposition as well as their chemical composition some may respond differently. Black, red dark orange and dark blue tattoos will typically respond better to treatment with laser. However Brown, purple, green, light orange, neon and light blue colours are harder to remove and will require more sessions.

  • How does it work:

Tattoo ink particles are too large for the body’s immune system to remove naturally because when tattoo pigment is injected into the lower layers of the skin (dermis) it becomes locked away by a wall of collagen fibres. Q-switched lasers produce very short bursts of high energy laser light. The light is absorbed by the large ink particles, generating heat that shatters the tattoo pigment into minute particles which the body is able to remove. Because the tattoo ink selectively absorbs the laser energy, the surrounding skin doesn’t overheat and there is no lasting damage.

  • How many session we need:

Customers will see a reduction after the first treatment however to completely remove a tattoo depending on the ink colour and how deep it is in the skin, it could be between 3-5 treatments with intervals of 6 weeks between treatments. In some clients, more sessions may be necessary for complete removal.

  • When will I see results:

Results can be observed immediately after the first session.

  • How long does the treatment take:

This depends on the size of the tattoo; a small tattoo might take 5 minutes, where a large, or multiple tattoos could take an hour or more. Again, the assessment will provide this information.

  • Does it hurt?

The level of pain felt will depend on the type of tattoos, the amount of treatment required and your own pain threshold. Some clients would describe it as no more than uncomfortable, where others will describe it as an elastic band flicked against the skin. The truth is that you will only know how painful you find it until you try it! We can offer advice on pain relief, which will be given during your assessment.

  • Does the laser cause scarring?

Although there is a risk of scarring with any laser, in most cases, scarring is not a significant risk for tattoo removal with the ND Yag laser. Tattoo removal has become associated with scarring because the older generation of lasers used for tattoo removal were very aggressive and carried a very high risk of scarring. The ND Yag laser does not heat the surrounding skin significantly and the risk of scarring is much reduced. The risk of scarring is mainly associated with a genetic pre-disposition to forming scar tissue and the presence of resistant, green pigment. To reduce the risk, we carry out an extensive medical evaluation to identify high-risk clients; we also have an adjunct treatment that can prevent scar tissue forming and even improve existing.

AW3 Nd Yag Laser

AW3 Nd Yag Laser: the modern therapy against all pigments of the skin and moles, and the most effective solution for tattoo and permanent makeup removal. The AW3 Q Switch Nd YAG laser is one of today's most technologically advanced lasers for skin pigmentation therapy."It has been clinically proven that Q Switch Nd YAG laser is the most suitable laser on the market for the removal of both superficial and deep hyperpigmented lesions (pigments), birthmarks and sometimes dark circles. Most patients only need one treatment and the results are satisfy. Incontrast to the PhotoFacial treatment with IPL there is a slight irritation of the skin that usually lasts several days to weeks. However, in some patients this slight irritation is harmless as the Nd YAG laser saves patients the inconvenience of repeated visits to the practice. The Nd YAG laser emits a laser beam that is specifically absorbed by the pigmented lesion and destroys it in small particles that are easier to process and remove from the body. Most patients are treated for ten minutes. A slight to moderate irritation of the overlying skin is to be expected for a few days to a week, depending on the depth and quantity of the pigments to be removed.
How is Nd YAG laser process:
The process for treating skin problems with ND YAG LASER is simple, quick with few days of downtime.
1: Experienced aesthetic therapist will consult with you and confirm if you are suitable and would benefit from this procedure.
2: Your therapist may use a numbing cream for 20-30 minutes right before the treatment to minimize any discomfort.
3: Your therapist will use the ND YAG Q SWITCH laser and the light pulses will be directed into the dermis for rejuvenation. The whole procedure will take about 45 minutes.
4: After the procedure, you may experience redness over the treated site which may last few hours. Most of the time, there is no swelling and most patients can return to work almost immediately.
5: Immediately post laser, you may or may not see lightening of the pigmentation. In fact, the pigmented spot may even darken for 1-2 weeks before getting lighter. However, the skin lightening and rejuvenation may be seen immediately post-laser.

Wrinkle Reduction
AW3® Wrinkle therapy is a treatment of the skin to give the maximum collagen boost to push out even the deepest lying wrinkles. This treatment is to be performed using the RF Elight versions of IPL machines only as these get maximum collagen boosting results.
The heat from the light is attracted to the melanin/oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. The heat reaction breaks down the melanin and coagulates the blood within the area. This then leaves the body through the lymphatic system leaving the skin with a clearer complexion.
The heat that is also created within the epidermis and dermis (RF treatments only) makes the skin react as if it has had an injury. The blood and collagen rush into this area to repair it leaving the skin with a smoother appearance.
Sun Damaged Skin
While the trauma of ageing skin is nowhere near as great as pigmented lesions, the simple fact remains that,
most people do not like the thought of ageing.
Exposure to the sun accelerates the ageing process of the skin, and can cause disruption in the normal blood supply to the skin (which results in disorders such as diffuse redness) It can also cause irregular pigmentation that shows as freckles (ephelides) or age-spots (solar lentigines), and irregular pore size. AW3® systems offer clinically proven treatment to sun-damaged skin, covering both skin rejuvenation and pigmented aspects.

  • Does it hurt?

The sensation will vary from client to client. The sensation that is felt depends upon the amount of melanin found in the skin. The sensation is described as a heat sensation and a few clients say it is light mild sunburn after the treatment.

  • What to expect?

IPL wrinkle treatments will show mild redness of the skin initially after the treatment. This is a good sign the treatment has worked and sufficient heat has been pushed into the epidermis.

  • How many sessions are needed?

On average 1-6 treatment at 4 week intervals are needed for the best results. The level of collagen boost depends on your skin type so results do vary. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
